I disagree that UX writing / Microcopy is a "trend": it's an essential UX technique that existed forever.

Another point: Beware of analysis of UX trends with Google trends as a tool. It's weak, shallow approach, disconnected from the real world and UX practice. If people look for some term, it does not mean automatically it's a UX trend, established in the practice - its only a "Google trend".
